CITY OF EUNICE, LA. PERSONAL PROFILE Dennis McGee - Composer, fiddler, and vocalist McGee recorded for the Vocalion, Brunswick, Melotone, and Swallow labels. Among his recordings is the classic "Madame Young donnez moi votre plus jolie blonde" (1929), which borrowed the tune of the popular Cajun song "Allons danser Colinda." McGee influenced younger generations of Cajun musicians, and shortly before his death was named Honorary Dean of Cajun Music by the University of Southwestern Louisiana. He died in 1989.
