MARK YOUR CALENDARS
FOR THE RETURN OF THE TRI PARISH FAIR THIS YEAR

50 years since the last one was held, the Tri-Parish Fair is returning. The fair will be reborn in Eunice the weekend of October 28 to November 2, 2004.

It will replace the city's Folklife Festival that has fallen on hard times in recent years.

The event will be a return to old-fashioned fairs with something for everyone. Planned events range from livestock shows and pie contests to Ferris wheels and carnival rides, concerts, music, petting zoo, music stages, antique cars and motorcycles,  kids games, school competitions, crafts, rodeo events, museums & culture center, arts & craft shows and much more.

The fair will focus on young people and many area schools and churches have expressed interest in joining the festival. It'll showcase young entertainers and, of course, there will be the magic shows and big top fair.

Many area residents remember the old Tri Parish Fair and are looking forward to its re-birth.
